Stoos Hotels – Sustainability & Responsibility The Stoos Hotels, consisting of three hospitality and gastronomy establishments, focus on holistic and responsible practices. By working closely together within the hotel group, synergies are leveraged to promote sustainable and resource-efficient tourism. All Stoos Hotels are “Swisstainable”. By participating in the sustainability label of Switzerland Tourism, all our establishments commit to continuous, sustainable business development, making a tangible contribution to sustainable Swiss tourism. Climate Protection Initiative: myclimate “Cause We Care” We value responsible use of resources and environmental protection. Guests can contribute to a more sustainable stay through a voluntary donation, which helps offset part of the CO₂ emissions generated during their visit. As a thank you for your commitment, we will double your contribution. Part of the donation supports the “High-Stem Tree Promotion Program in Switzerland” run by the myclimate Foundation and Responsible Hotels of Switzerland. The remaining funds are invested in on-site sustainability measures. Innovative Energy Concepts Hospitality is an energy-intensive industry, requiring innovative energy solutions. The Stoos Hotels’ owner family has been a pioneer in renewable energy for over 40 years. In 1980, they installed a solar thermal system on the roof of what is now the Wellness Hotel Stoos, laying the foundation for a sustainable future. Since 2013, the Wellness Hotel Stoos has been certified by the Energy Agency of the Economy (EnAW), committing to active CO₂ emission reduction and continuous energy efficiency optimization. Green Option – Room Cleaning on Demand Through the Green Option, guests can opt out of daily room cleaning, making their stay even more sustainable. In the Stoos Lodge, this modular offer also allows guests to benefit from a lower room rate. This simple action reduces water and energy consumption, contributing actively to resource conservation. Sustainable Hygiene & Cosmetic Products All Stoos Hotels use the “Think, Act & Live Responsible” product line, making a significant step towards a plastic-free future. Items such as razors, combs, and toothbrushes are made from sustainable materials, with packaging from stone paper and products from bamboo or bio-plastic (made from corn starch). In the Wellness Hotel Stoos, beauty and wellness treatments use bio-certified cosmetic products from Pharmos Natur®. The Green Luxury products are based on Aloe Vera Bio Juice instead of water, with over 100 natural ingredients, free from parabens and phenoxyethanol, giving the skin a fresh and radiant appearance. Education & Training We place great value on well-trained employees and support them with individual contributions to external training opportunities. This ensures optimal conditions for the professional and personal development of every individual. As a training company, we have educated young talents in six apprenticeships for many years, providing them with a promising career start and growth opportunities.
