Event planning landscape has dramatically changed over the last decade. With the advent of modern event technology, many event planners have become adept at using it to manage, promote and support their events. Event planners today often find themselves faced with far more challenges than simply delivering successful events. To name one: negotiating a profitable venue and understanding different contracts offered by the hotels. However, when compared with the biggest problem facing the meetings and events industry, problems such as these look very puny.

Cvent’s Senior VP of Sales, Brian Ludwig, delivered the keynote at MPI Tech Con in Chicago and was asked the same question. During his speech, Brian discussed the journey that event attendees are familiar with today and then switched gears to focus on and forecast the attendee experience of the future. In a post-keynote interview, Brian was asked, “What is the biggest problem that a meeting planner faces today?” Take a look at the 50-second video clip below for Brian’s enlightening response.

In today’s economy, companies and organisations are re-evaluating their systems and processes with a new level of scrutiny. Rapid ROI is a key factor in decision-making and a comprehensive online event management platform delivers it immediately. Say goodbye to point-solutions, and embrace the all-encompassing platform!
