It is thus the ideal starting point for excursions of all kind to the near surroundings or as a starting and end point for professionally guided city tours, visits to museums, shopping tours and much more. Überdies ist der Kaisersaal Schauplatz großer kultureller Veranstaltungen. Erbaut zwischen 1040 und 1050 unter Kaiser Heinrich III. (1016/17-1056), war die Goslarer Pfalz im Hochmittelalter die am häufigsten aufgesuchte Regierungsstätte der Könige und Kaiser im Norden des Alten Reiches. „jenen berühmtesten Wohnsitz des Reiches in Goslar“ Lampert von Hersfeld, Annales, zum Jahr 1071 Nach Jahrhunderten einer wechselvollen Geschichte wurde der zweigeschossige Saalbau der Kaiserpfalz zwischen 1867 und 1875 erst baulich renoviert und anschließend mit einem historisierenden Bildprogramm im Kaisersaal geschmückt. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The Imperial Palace of Goslar is not only a landmark and monumental cultural treasure, but also part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Rammelsberg Mine, the historic centre of Goslar and the Upper Harz Water Management System, which was awarded the title in 1992. The Kaisersaal is also the venue for major cultural events. Built between 1040 and 1050 under Emperor Henry III (1016/17-1056), the Goslar Palatinate was the most frequently visited seat of government of kings and emperors in the north of the Old Empire in the High Middle Ages. ‘The most famous residence of the empire in Goslar’ Lampert von Hersfeld, Annales, for the year 1071 After centuries of an eventful history, the two-storey hall building of the Imperial Palace was first renovated between 1867 and 1875 and then decorated with a historicising pictorial programme in the Imperial Hall.
