About us
Das Alte Rathaus wurde 1851 an einer Stelle erbaut, an der sich seit Ende des 16. Jahrhunderts eine Markthalle befand. Seitdem ist es das Zentrum der sozialen Aktivitäten der gesamten Stadt, da es für Gottesdienste und Sonntagsschulen, Debatten, Abendessen, eine Gesellschaft für Naturgeschichte, eine Gesellschaft zur gegenseitigen Verbesserung und bis 1964 das Rathaus der Stadt genutzt wurde. 1978 wurde es als Kunstzentrum The Old Town Hall eröffnet, das vom Stadtrat von Dacorum finanziert wurde. Das Old Town Hall Theatre, die Gallery Bar und The Cellar stehen auch für private Veranstaltungen und Aufführungen zur Verfügung.
