Rothay Manor Hotel & Restaurant is an elegant regency house built in 1825 as a private residence for a prosperous Liverpool merchant and still retains many original features. The house is a listed building and is set in attractive landscaped gardens a 1/4 mile from the head of Lake Windermere and a short walk from the centre of Ambleside. Fresh flowers and antiques give the feel of a welcoming private house and the lounges are ideal for relaxing over afternoon tea or pre-dinner drinks. The hotel offers 16 fully furnished rooms that are decorated tastefully to make your stay memorable and comfortable. We also provide spaces for meetings, business lunches, events, conferences and other formal events for up to 45 guests.
