The Chapel of Alto Vista which means highest view is one of Aruba’s most precious landmarks. Because of its high elevation and location, the Alto Vista Church is the pew for both the sunrise and the sunset exuding tranquility on its dramatic setting above the sea. The chapel was the island's first Roman Catholic Church, built in 1750 and reconstructed in 1953. The small, bright yellow chapel is reached by a winding road lined with white crosses marking the Stations of the Cross. For local Arubans especially, it is a special place for peace and contemplation

The lighthouse was named after the S.S. California - which sunk previous to its construction in 1910. Perched on a high seaside elevation, the lighthouse has become one of Aruba's scenic trademarks and offers a picture perfect view of the island's western coastline of sandy beaches, rocky coral shorelines and of the beautifully landscaped golf course Tierra del Sol. Adjacent to the lighthouse are the California Sand Dunes which offer loads of family fun or a hand-in-hand starry-eyed stroll to the secluded coastline. Any time of day or night is a great time to visit the lighthouse for a 360 degree view, but the sunset is hands down the right time of day to be there as the big orange ball of fire gently dips into the Caribbean Sea.

The Ritz-Carlton, Aruba presents the region’s preeminent meeting facilities, with an exceptional selection of indoor and outdoor venues, including a 7,200 square foot ballroom divisible into three salons, a 530 square foot Executive boardroom, two spacious meeting rooms 860 square feet each and a selection of outdoor locations, including our poolside decks, manicured event lawn and beachfront reception/dinner options. Meeting facilities at the resort are environmentally-friendly, employing a range of green practices to showcase the resort’s extraordinary commitment to environmental stewardship and corporate social responsibility to help protect and preserve the island’s natural resources.
