Hobby Airport is Houston's oldest commercial airport and was the airline airport until Houston Intercontinental Airport (now George Bush Intercontinental Airport) opened in 1969. Hobby is a secondary airport for domestic airlines and is a regional center for corporate and private aviation. The airport is home of the 1940 Air Terminal Museum in the original art deco building that was the first passenger airline terminal in Houston. It is now a focus city for Southwest Airlines.
