Surfhouse’s column-free space on the second level overlooking Merewether Beach comfortably holds 380 people, and has an extensive balcony wrapping around most of the space. There’s a covered terrace in the northwest corner where you and your guests will be protected from the elements. Combined with our fully equipped state of the art kitchen, our professional staff and experienced event co-ordinator makes Surfhouse worth a look for any event. Merewether Surfhouse is Newcastle's premier beachfront wedding venue. Surfhouse weddings capture a breathtaking experience to remember, with exceptional service & exquisite food to match the spectacular oceanfront location. With multiple sized function rooms all with private ocean front balconies with specatcular views, Surfhouse can cater to weddings from casual, intimate celebrations from 30 guests to a grand formal reception up to 230 guests.
