Charming Pinel Island, or Isle Pinel, or in French Ilet Pinel or Ile de Pinel, is a tiny island on the north end of St. Martin, 5 minutes off the shores of French Cul de Sac, and a few hundred yards off the northwestern end of Orient Bay. A must see on your visit! It is the place where residents of St. Martin/St. Maarten go to relax, especially on weekends! The end of the road at French Cul de Sac opens onto a wide sandy area where visitors find "the ferry station", a dock, parking and a shack that rents out Kayaks. Vendors and small ferry boats are waiting there to run you over to Pinel for a fee of $7-8 dollars. Enjoy a wonderful short five minute taxi-boat ride on the pristine and shallow waters for a relaxing day of exploring, sunbathing, or a picnic on this tropical paradise!

Marigot is the main town and capital on the French side of the Caribbean island of Saint Martin. The capital city of Marigot is perhaps the most French in spirit of all the cities in the Caribbean. Colonial houses stand beside smart cafés and bistros, pastry shops and luxury boutiques, and in many ways it looks just like any of the French market towns you might expect to find on the Continent. A shopping center newly built at the foot of Fort St. Louis, with luxurious boutiques such as Chanel, Lacoste. At the southern end of town down by the harbor is the Marina Port la Royale, elegant stores with the latest in European designer fashions and fine jewelry, all free of tax. The entire city is only four streets wide, so it is very easy to get around. Originally a fishing village on a swamp for which it was named, Marigot was made capital during the reign of King Louis XVI, who built Fort St. Louis on a hill near Marigot Bay. Today, that building is the most important. Marigot is typical of Caribbean towns, with gingerbread houses and sidewalk bistros. Market days are every Wednesday and Saturday morning, where one can find everything from coconuts, avocados, sweet potatoes and plenty of other tropical fruits and vegetables, all kinds of spices and fresh fish, to fine batik wraps, local arts, crafts and paintings. In 1998, Speed 2 shot the finale seen where the Sea Bourn Legend hits the island

Arriving aircraft must touch down as close as possible to the beginning of Runway 10 due to the short runway length of 2,300 metres (7,500 ft), resulting in aircraft on their final approach flying over the beach at minimal altitude.

As a solo artist, Kevin was the featured entertainer at UC San Diego’s commencement ceremony in front of 7000 people, and has played The Aventine La Jolla, Mission Bay Yacht Club, The Thursday Club, Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar, Bernardo Winery, University Club, Kona Kai Resort, Cafe 21, The Prado in Balboa Park, Tipsy Crow, Mesa College Art Gallery, Del Mar Fair,Liberty Station, and Coronado Landing. Kevin was a standout alto saxophonist in elementary and middle school, then switched to tenor sax as an adult. Inspired by BB King’s killer horn section, Kevin began honing his skills playing the blues. He still loves rock and pop music and enjoys covering crowd favorites on his sax, all while pushing the limits of audience engagement, building epic solos, and creating the ultimate show.
