Welcome to your purposeful play retreat, The Camp is nestled in the rolling hills of beautiful Carmel Valley, California. With our unique amenities and idyllic setting, you and your group are invited to reawaken your sense of wonder. The Camp is the perfect place to unplug from the norm and connect authentically. Accommodating small, intimate groups of 10 to a Camp buy-out of 120 people. Featuring 115 acres of nature, 46 sleeping rooms, a variety of gathering spaces, team building activities and more. Ideal for multi-day retreats, events and/or meetings. ACTIVITIES: Archery, Pickleball, Tennis, Swimming, Yoga, Team Building, Lawn games, Campfire, Hiking, Birdwatching, Basketball, Crafts, and more. Our on-site events and offerings are always changing and can be customized for your group or event. ACCOMMODATIONS: 46 guest rooms with a total of 122 total beds (shared accommodations) Cabins and Tents: Three distinct Camps are accessed by trail and feature bathhouses. Cabins offer queen and two twin beds and accommodate 2-4 guests. Nearby shared modern bathhouses. Camps include Sunset (13 cabins, individual bathrooms in bathhouse), Sunrise Camp (12 cabins/tents, shared bathhouse), Solstice Camp (10 cabins/tents shared bathhouse) Total beds in cabins/tent is 103. Additional tents can be set up for increased occupancy. Houses: Archer’s House– 4-bedroom house with 6 Beds: 1 King, 2 Queen,3 Twin Beds and 2 Baths. The House also offers a full kitchen, living room and private patio. Accommodates 7 guests. Director’s House- 2-bedroom house with 4 Beds: 1 King, 1 Queen, 2 Twin Beds and 2 baths. House is equipped with a full kitchen, living room and private patio. Sleeps 5 guests. Summer House – 1-bedroom house with 1 Queen bed, 1 bath and full kitchen. Accommodates 2 guests. Bunk House Rooms- 4 rooms each with 2 Twin Beds and 2 Shared Bathrooms. Accommodates 2 guests per room with a total of 8. 19 total beds in Houses. MEETING SPACE: With 115 acres, The Camp has a variety of flexible, traditional and non-traditional, indoor and outdoor spaces for groups of 10-120 people to gather. The Camp at Carmel Valley has a rich history. The Camp was originally a girls retreat that was established in 1925 by Mrs. Douglas. Her aim was to teach young girls life skills and the wonder of outdoor activities including horseback riding, swimming, archery, and camping. She felt that while boys had plenty of opportunities to explore Mother Nature, it was important that girls had the same resources. This beautiful 115-acre ranch surrounded by rolling hills and forest has been the perfect place to camp ever since and now offers an experience for the young and old, girls and boys, families and corporate groups. --Camp for everyone!
