Cvent Announces Plans to Hire 1,000 Employees in 2019 - Will Double Presence in Germany and Expand Headcount in London

Cvent's market-leading capabilities together with Europe's booming MICE industry and increasing adoption in event technology are driving the company's growth

Frankfurt, Germany – May 22, 2019 – Cvent, a market-leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider, today announced it will drastically expand its European footprint and has plans to hire nearly 1,000 employees around the world in 2019. The company will double the office headcount in Frankfurt, Germany and will continue to increase hiring efforts for its other international offices like London and Dubai. The news comes just one year after Cvent announced it is opening a Frankfurt office which was established to provide more localised support and dedicated service for the Company’s growing German customer base.

“This is a very exciting time for the company,” said Cvent Founder and CEO Reggie Aggarwal.  “We are rapidly expanding our customer base in the UK and across Europe. Last year alone, we saw a 38 percent increase in DACH hospitality clients. We’re expanding our headcount to support this growing interest in event and hospitality technology in the region, and now have more than 4,000 employees worldwide. With more than 31 percent of business trips to Germany attributed to meetings and events*, the MICE industry is a major driver of economic growth. Our customers in the region realise the importance of utilising technology to drive revenue and capitalise on these business opportunities.”

What Customers Are Saying:

  • “Cvent enables us to be much more time efficient. We now spend far less time per event setting things up and closing the event. Cvent has improved our working method by helping us add value to the user experience,” said Charlotte Gannon, Events & Marketing Manager, British-Swiss Chamber of Commerce.
  • “I would certainly recommend Cvent, especially for privately owned hotels, as we don’t have a large sales team like that of a branded chain hotel. Cvent is a great partner that provides effective marketing solutions, but also keep us informed about the latest MICE industry trends,” said Lisa Schmitz, Director of Sales, Grandhotel Hessischer Hof and Schlosshotel Kronberg.

Cvent’s expansion plans in Europe come on the heels of a recent announcement that the company added 1,200 customers worldwide in Q1 2019.
