Cvent to Continue Global Headcount Expansion by Adding Nearly 1,000 Employees in 2019

Washington D.C. area event technology company to increase talent acquisition efforts around the world to support growing customer base and drive innovation

May 16, 2019Cvent, a market-leading meetings, events, and hospitality technology provider, today announced its intention to hire nearly 1,000 employees this year. The announcement comes on the heels of Cvent’s strong performance in 2018 in which the company added 1,000 net new employees and more than 5,000 new customers to its global customer base. The company, based in Tysons, Virginia, just outside of Washington D.C., has more than 600 positions currently open at its 20 office locations around the world.

“We hired almost 1,000 people last year and we’re doubling down on our recruiting efforts to ensure we can continue supporting our expanding customer base and delivering the innovations that will drive the industry forward,” said Sophia MacDonald, vice president of human resources.

To support the growing headcount, Cvent will continue to expand and enhance their offices around the world including opening a new location in Austin, expanding the office in Fredericton (Canada) and opening new office space in its Delhi location. Many of the new employees will be hired at its headquarters in Tysons, Virginia, in addition to its other offices in North America including Washington D.C., Austin, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, Portland, Dallas, Philadelphia, Lexington (Massachusetts), Draper (Utah), Vancouver (Canada), Fredericton (Canada), and its international offices in London, Singapore, Melbourne (Australia), Dubai, Frankfurt (Germany), and New Delhi.
