Hotels and venues will gradually begin the restart process, assessing when and how they will reopen and welcome back MICE and transient business. In the meantime, while we’re working from home, venue sourcing managers can begin searching for venues to suit their upcoming events.

Soon to be open, The Diaoyutai Mansion Frankfurt, will be the first European hotel by the Chinese-American hotel group Diaoyutai MGM Hospitality. It combines Chinese design elements with international style and will be the newest 5 star-level conference hotel in Frankfurt.

The hotel’s location in the south of Frankfurt, between the international airport and the city centre, is ideal: national and international conference guests can arrive comfortably by all means of transportation and all of the city’s points of interest are within easy reach.

On the hotel premises, large parking facilities are available which also allow for coach parking.

Two hundred and fourteen rooms and suites combine contemporary luxury with elegant Chinese ornaments to classy, exceptional interior design. They all feature a private French or full balcony overlooking the cityscape. 170 of these rooms are of similar style and outline which is an advantage when accommodating larger groups.

Event and meeting space

The Diaoyutai Mansion Frankfurt offers a total of 12 versatile function rooms of different sizes. Designed contemporarily with Asian elements, they provide a unique setting for all kinds of conferences and events. Each is equipped with state-of-the-art technology which allows for hybrid and digital meetings, critical in these times.

The centrepiece of the 12 rooms is the 540 sqm ballroom with daylight from two sides that can hold corporate or gala events with up to 500 guests. The ballroom, as well as most of the meeting rooms, have direct balcony access which allows for coffee break setups under a blue sky with views of Frankfurt’s skyline.

Receptions and similar occasions can be held in the open air on the hotel’s 1,200 sqm event terrace with a skyline view.

All hotel facilities can be decorated with your company branding and if you need extra space for something such as a car presentation, this can be done in front of the house or on the generous terrace.

Culinary variety

Just like the hotel’s design combines Far Eastern and Western elements, the hotel’s culinary offerings cover both directions. There will be two restaurants, “Ba Fang”, dedicated to high-class Chinese cuisine and “The Turf”, with a focus on international dishes with a modern touch. the coffee or lunch breaks in the meeting space can be chosen from both the kitchen styles or a mix of both.

Entertainment and relaxation

How long does it take to get everyone done and ready to head off to an entertaining location after a meeting? The Diaoyutai Mansion Frankfurt offers entertainment facilities with karaoke and gaming rooms – a perfect way to round off a busy meeting day without even having to leave the venue.

A spa area with an indoor pool and a 24/7 fitness centre is also available.

Frankfurt, an underrated city

Frankfurt as a destination has more to offer than meets the eye. Rightly known for its practical location – centrally in Europe with one of the largest European airports and a major railway hub and an important banking, business and exhibition city.

The city offers many off-site activities to run alongside a busy conference day such as an extensive cultural offer with 40 museums and exhibition spaces as well as 60 theatres and theatre groups.

Dating back more than 1,200 years, Frankfurt has numerous historic spots. An unusually named one is the “New Old Town”, the recently constructed old town centre with its half-timber buildings.

Germany’s largest city forest and numerous parks make Frankfurt an abundantly green city, despite its characteristic skyline and the locals attach importance to being outside at the frequent open-air festival shows.

For an authentic culinary Frankfurt experience, guests should visit Sachsenhausen, the district right next to The Diaoyutai Mansion Frankfurt, with its rustic cider taverns and local, mostly hearty specialities.
