Accessibility Statement

At Cvent, we believe great events should be accessible to everyone. Our goal is for attendees to be able to participate fully, regardless of their disability or the assistive technology they use.

Our accessibility statement provides an overview of how we’re working to make Cvent products and websites usable for people with disabilities.

Our commitment to accessibility

Accessibility is a priority in how we design and build our attendee-facing products. Our target standard is the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA for our attendee-facing web and mobile experiences.

What we're doing

Accessibility at Cvent is an active, ongoing program. Here are some of the ways we work to build it into our products and processes:

Accessibility across the product lifecycle. For attendee-facing experiences, accessibility is considered at every stage of development. At the design stage, we work to meet WCAG color contrast requirements and avoid using color as the only means of conveying information. During development, engineers follow established accessibility testing steps, including keyboard testing and automated scanning. Our QA team conducts accessibility testing as part of the standard release process, and we run recurring automated checks to help catch regressions.

Built-in product guidance. Several Cvent products include built-in accessibility guidance for event organizers, for example, by mandating image alt text and notifying planners when they choose color combinations that do not meet minimum contrast guidelines during site creation.

Assistive technology. We work to support compatibility with common assistive technologies in our attendee-facing products, including screen readers such as JAWS and NVDA.

Independent third-party audits. We partner with Vispero/TPGi, an independent accessibility firm, to audit our attendee-facing products and author Voluntary Product Accessibility Templates (VPATs).

Training. We invest in accessibility training for employees in product management, UX design, engineering, and quality assurance through Deque University and internal programs.

Our accessibility program

Cvent's accessibility program is led by a dedicated Director of Accessibility and dedicated accessibility staff. The program is supported by an Accessibility Guild, a cross-team community of practice that brings together employees from across the product organization, as well as accessibility champions embedded within product teams.

Helping planners create accessible events

We also give event planners tools to support more accessible event experiences. These include collecting attendee accessibility needs during registration, planning accessible room layouts using our 3D diagramming tools, and searching for venues through the Cvent Supplier Network that meet specific accessibility requirements.

What this means for your attendees

Depending on the Cvent products and features you use, attendees can:

  • Register for your event using assistive technology and share accessibility needs during registration.
  • Navigate event websites and mobile experiences that are designed to support keyboard and screen reader navigation.
  • Access event information without relying on color alone to understand it.
  • Check in onsite using tablets with built-in screen-reader support.

Conformance status

Cvent targets WCAG 2.2 Level AA conformance for our attendee-facing web and mobile products. While we work continuously toward that goal, some areas of our products may not yet fully conform as remediation work is ongoing. Our VPAT documents describe the current conformance status for each product in detail.

We work to align our accessibility efforts with applicable laws and regulations.
