Cvent Introduces Lead Scoring™ To Help Hoteliers and Venue Owners Priortize Group Leads

Tysons Corner, Va. and Las Vegas – June 15, 2015 – Cvent, Inc. (NYSE: CVT), a leading cloud-based platform for meetings and group business, today announced the launch of Lead Scoring to help hoteliers, convention and visitor bureaus (CVBs) and other event venue owners prioritize group leads. As a part of the Group Demand Management pillar of the Cvent Hospitality Cloud, Lead Scoring will provide users with the tools they need to efficiently manage, prioritize and track high volumes of group business leads through a central interface.

"It's estimated that hoteliers and venue owners have to manage up to 15 million inbound leads a year. Managing those leads is tedious when you constantly have to juggle shifting room and meeting space availability, food and beverage spend, audio-visual requirements and more," said Jeffrey Emenecker, general manager of Decision Street at Cvent. "With our new Lead Scoring software, hoteliers can configure a scoring strategy based on the individual needs of their hotel and each lead will be scored and prioritized based on lead size, profitability and best fit, depending on future inventory and demand. From there, hoteliers are able to focus their creative energy on managing and converting the leads that maximize performance."

The new technology comes from Cvent's September 2014 acquisition of Decision Street, an Atlanta-based hotel sales-intelligence software company. Decision Street's sophisticated lead-scoring and sales-optimization technology, is designed to address the demands of hoteliers and venue owners who are struggling to manage their increasing flow of group business electronic RFPs.

"Converting group business is a critical success factor for our hotels. We see a lot of leads every day, and we're eager to leverage lead scoring technology to buy back precious hours lost in the RFP evaluation process," said Linda Simpson, vice president of sales and marketing at Stanford Hotels Corporation. "Lead scoring will undoubtedly boost my teams' effectiveness by helping them prioritize and evaluate the best RFPs right away."

Lead Scoring is a part of the Cvent Hospitality Cloud, which provides a full spectrum of cloud-based solutions across the hotel and venue group sales lifecycle. The Hospitality Cloud consists of marketing solutions and SaaS software enabling hotels, CVBs and other event venue owners to more effectively generate qualified demand for meetings and events, manage that demand more efficiently, and measure group business performance.
