With the whole world forced to change direction and move to the virtual space, 2020 has been the year when everyone had to adapt and grow, while learning how to build a sense of community and belonging from afar. Cvent Community played a key role this year in helping users learn, expand and reflect on the state of the MICE industry when the world went virtual.

As 2020 draws to a close, let’s take a quick look back at how the Cvent Community provided the perfect forum to connect with industry peers, discuss best practices, share questions with other Cvent users, and stay in the know about the latest industry trends.

  1. The Huddle of the Week

Launched in September, this discussion series fostered engaging conversations around user experiences and successes, especially during these changing times. This series focusses on best practices to use the Cvent platform, thought leadership, and industry knowledge, all in a safe networking space.

Led by industry leaders and Cvent product experts, these live sessions provide a great opportunity to connect and ask thought-provoking questions on topics related to using event technology in the new normal. These one-hour, interactive Q&A discussions are hosted in the Open Forum so you can get your questions answered by industry experts in real-time.

  1. Polling

Started in late September, the Community gave users an avenue to listen and learn directly from their peers through polling. A new poll goes live every week in the Open Forum where Cvent users provide insights and can review trending responses. You can visit the Community Open Forum to check out the latest poll and vote to get a pulse on what the industry is saying.

Some of the top questions for polling this year were:

What type of virtual or hybrid events are you primarily hosting?
What should be the No. 1 priority for hoteliers opening for Live/Hybrid events?
What is the best way for a presenter to engage attendees in a virtual event?
Did you get Cvent certified yet?
How many of your events are built in Flex?
