Houston is a remarkable convention destination. As a hub for innovation, particularly in sectors such as energy, technology, medical, and aerospace, it’s easy to see why the country’s fourth largest city continues to attract the most high-profile meetings and events. Elevating the visitor experience is the city’s welcoming vibe and unmatched hospitality. With an expansive mix of culturally diverse food, a thriving art scene, and year-round live entertainment options, it really does all come together in Houston.
Great Expectations
Houston’s convention campus is nestled in the heart of the city’s central business district and offers a myriad of convenient amenities that add to the visitor experience. Its George R. Catch All the Action
Visitors to Houston are often surprised at the accessibility of being near so many professional sports stadiums. For MLB fans, enjoy a classic ballpark dog and being immersed in a sea of blue and orange as the Houston Astros gear up at Daikin Park. Just steps from Houston’s convention campus is nearby Shell Energy Stadium, home of Houston’s professional soccer teams: Houston Dynamos and Houston Dash. And if you’re looking for additional adrenaline, basketball fans can stroll over to Toyota Center and watch the Houston Rockets or hop on the MetroRail towards NRG Stadium where the Houston Texans will be charging the field.
As Houston prepares to host seven FIFA World Cup soccer matches as well as the World Baseball Classic in 2026, sports needs to be an item on your travel itinerary.
