Puerto Rico offers everything you could dream of: breathtaking ocean views, exciting adventure, culture, and the most amazing cuisine. That being said, if it is your first time to this beautiful island, here a few things to help you make the most of your meeting/adventure.

Tip 1: Pack Light

One of the most amazing features of Puerto Rico is that the weather stays constant throughout the year. Our not-too-hot and not-too-cold temperatures mean that you can pack lightly. We recommend warm-weather clothing, business casual outfits, and, if there will be leisure time, some beach attire. And remember, since Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the U.S., if you are an American citizen, you don’t need to worry about a passport.

Tip 2: Add Corporate Social Responsibility

More professionals are merging corporate social responsibility activities with meetings. This trend of giving back is especially important to local communities. Get to know the area in which you plan events or work directly with the hotels to determine what the best options are.

Tip 3: Focus on Wellness and Relaxation

During your meeting, you may want healthier refreshments, wellness-oriented guest room amenities, and expanded healthy menu options. We know that you are more informed about food, not only asking what’s on the menu, but where it came from. For the morning risers, an oceanfront yoga session is the best "Vitamin Sea." If time permits after the meetings, take some time for a hamman. You will never regret it.

Tip 4: Practice a Little Bit of Spanish

At most hotels and local businesses in San Juan, Puerto Rico, you will be able to speak English. That being said, if you want to practice your Spanish, go ahead and speak with any associates, and they will enjoy the conversation. No matter how you choose to spend your winter meeting in Puerto Rico, know that we will do everything we can to make your time here unforgettable.
