The Metro is the region’s subway system and there are 13 Red Line stations that serve the county, all leading into Washington D.C. By Bus Vamoose Bus offers direct service from New York City to downtown Bethesda. Metro bus offers routes on every major thoroughfare in the D.C. area. By Car Major highways run throughout our county such as I-95, I-495, I-200, and I-70. By Ferry (Yes, we have a ferry!) White’s Ferry is the last ferry operating on the Potomac River.
