With the Thanksgiving Holiday right around the corner, the Cvent Client Success team is excited to share the Top Ten Attendee Hub features to be thankful for this year!

  1. Discussions – With Discussions, your attendees can join video or chat conversations on a variety of topics, with up to 5 other people. You can even set the topic and specify how long the conversation will last. This allows for attendees to discuss hot topics with other people at the conference, just as if they were in person and walked up to a table of attendees all discussing the newest industry trends.
  2. Instant Networking – With Instant Networking, attendees are matched at random with other attendees, and given 5 minutes to connect during a video meeting before moving on to their next match. This is a great way to increase networking at your event. The meetings can even be extended or ended early if desired. Think “Professional Speed Dating”!
  3. Gamification – Everyone loves a good game at an event! Gamification allows you to award points to specific tasks and actions that your attendees are completing throughout the event. This is a great way to drive engagement towards specific pieces of your event. If you want to encourage attendees to visit exhibitor and sponsor booths, you can tie more points to those actions. You can even incentivize it by offering a prize to the top performer(s).
  4. 1:1 Attendee Messaging – Another great way to encourage networking at your event is to provide attendees the option to send private messages to each other. This makes it easy for new connections made at the event, to easily stay in touch without needing to exchange cell phone numbers.
  5. Virtual Attendance Tracking – If you are interested in how long participants are staying in your sessions for, then duration tracking is for you! If your participants need to stay in an hour-long session for at least 45 minutes to be counted as a participant to get their CEU credits, you will want to enable virtual attendance tracking. Regardless of whether you define session participation, you will still have access to reports that tell you how much of a video an attendee watched.
  6. Custom Cards – Maybe there is a specific web or video link that you would like to display on your Attendee Hub Website or Event App? You can utilize Custom Cards to link out to specific third-party websites and can even schedule the cards to only appear at specific timeframes during the event.
  7. Exhibitor Booths – Exhibiting at a virtual event is made easy with the Attendee Hub. Exhibitors can customize their booths with videos, images, documents, sponsored sessions, and more! You can also open a chat room, a video meeting room, or allow for 1:1 meetings between attendees and exhibitors within each Virtual Booth.
  8. Connections – Connections is another great networking feature that allows attendees to build their personal and professional network. When someone attends more than one of your events, they will be able to easily identify if any of their past connections are also attending the current event.
  9. Custom Pages – If you have important information that needs to be shared with attendees, you can create Custom Pages to make those resources easily accessible. FAQs, About the Conference, and Meet the Staff are some popular examples.
  10. Cvent Studio – So long is the need for a professional production company for your virtual or hybrid event. Cvent Studio is a video capture and production solution that allows you to create custom layouts and add media, overlays, banners, and backgrounds to your virtual broadcast, all by yourself!
