With the renovation of the state-of-the-art Miami Beach Convention Center complete, Miami  is more equipped than ever to flex its muscle as a world-class meetings destination. Already praised for its outstanding and versatile exhibition space, it features over 180,000 square feet of meeting facilities, two ballrooms, and 84 breakout rooms. It doesn't hurt to be located in the heart of world-famous South Beach. Just 20 minutes from Miami International Airport and within a short walk of the pristine beaches, the convention center sits at Miami Beach’s tourism and entertainment base. Visitors will find an abundance of hotel options boasting over 20,000 rooms to accommodate any style and budget. While trendy restaurants and classic nightlife spots capture the popular imagination of what South Beach has to offer, there’s also no shortage of entertainment and cultural attractions to keep visitors busy or — in the case of the beaches — relaxed. Other attractive destinations within a mile of the Miami Beach Convention Center include: Lincoln Road: This famous pedestrian promenade is known as Miami Beach’s premier outdoor shopping and entertainment district. It boasts an abundance of local and global brand stores and restaurant options that take full advantage of the endless sunshine. The outdoor patio seating makes it one of the best people-watching spots in the city. The Miami Beach Botanical Garden: A unique, subtropical oasis of beauty and tranquility within an urban setting, this community resource refreshes, inspires, and engages visitors. The Bass Contemporary Arts Museum: Focusing on exhibitions of international contemporary art, the Bass presents mid-career and established artists reflecting the spirit and international character of Miami Beach. The Bass seeks to expand the interpretation of contemporary art by incorporating disciplines of contemporary culture, such as design, fashion, and architecture, into the exhibition program. The Fillmore: This classic art deco theater showcases the biggest names in live entertainment. Steeped in rock 'n' roll history while maintaining cultural relevance, the theater passionately combines the rich tradition of the Fillmore Experience with the energy and passion of Miami Beach, hosting a variety of music acts, comedy shows, and other entertainment. New World Center/Soundscape Park: The home of the New World Symphony is a unique musical laboratory for generating new ideas about the way music is taught, experienced, and presented. It features a 756-seat concert hall and a 7,000-square-foot projection wall to broadcast performances to picnickers outside. Lummus Park: This beachfront park is one of the most popular destinations and part of the Art Deco District. A backdrop for many television and film scenes, Lummus Park is within walking distance of Ocean Drive's many restaurants, sidewalk cafes, and stores. The park features grassy areas and palm trees, alongside volleyball courts and pull-up bars for those looking for a workout. 1111 Lincoln Road: This award-winning parking garage and event space comes complete with retail and restaurants designed by Swiss architectural firm Herzog & de Meuron. This seven-story structure is where modernism meets Miami’s historic architecture. With so much to do and take in, it’s easy to see why the reimagined Miami Beach Convention Center is such an attractive meetings destination. With its completion, Miami Beach finally has a world-class convention center on par with the entertainment and attractions that surround it.
