Aloft’s second location will open 20 miles north in the city of Troy. It is being described as a “high-end urban product” in a suburban setting and a “very social hotel,” according to developer Kenny Koza.

The Dearborn Inn

The Dearborn Inn was built in 1931 on the grounds of the Ford Motor Co. Today, this historic hotel is situated on an urban oasis of 23 acres and is convenient to the airport, local attractions, and the world-famous Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation.

El Moore Lodge

Located in the original 1898 El Moore building, the El Moore Lodge represents the next chapter of Detroit, one that honors its storied past while looking forward to a more sustainable future. Today, as a sustainably rehabilitated and operated residential apartment building and urban lodge, the El Moore welcomes both residents and guests to explore the intersection of nature, community, and the city together.

Element Detroit (opening 2018)

The Element Detroit is housed in the beautiful and long-vacant 14-story neo-Gothic Metropolitan Building, which was once destined for demolition. It’s designed for extended-stay guests, with bigger closets and a kitchen. Enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the city from the rooftop bar. The hotel provides complimentary bikes that guests can use to explore.

Foundation Hotel

The Foundation Hotel is located downtown, across from the bustling Cobo Center in what was once the Detroit Fire Department headquarters. The Foundation partnered with local artists to add truly Detroit moments throughout the hotel. Its onsite restaurant, Apparatus Room, offers world-class cuisine from a Michelin-star chef. The property is a short walk from the Detroit RiverWalk, which features nearly 4 miles of parks, plazas, and running trails.

The Inn on Ferry Street

Right in the heart of Midtown, The Inn on Ferry Street has a bed-and-breakfast feel with large hotel convenience. Guests can choose to stay in any one of four beautifully restored Victorian mansions and two carriage houses. It’s just steps away from the world-class Detroit Institute of ArtsDetroit Historical Museum, and Wayne State University.

Royal Park Hotel

Located in the “hip and historical” downtown RochesterRoyal Park is a modern tribute to the English manor house. Its onsite restaurant, PARK 600 Bar + Kitchen, offers a delicious dining experience in an intimate setting. Guests can also enjoy walking and biking trails, fly-fishing, a full-service concierge, and a fitness center.

The Siren

Housed in the 1926 art deco Wurlitzer Building, this space was once called the world’s largest music house. Today, it has been reborn into The Siren and includes two retail shops and seven food and beverage spaces, with stunning views of the city from its rooftop. This hip hotel is a minute’s walk from the Broadway Street Detroit People Mover station, across the road from the Detroit Opera House, and a five-minute walk from Comerica Park.

The Shinola Hotel (opening fall 2018)

Started as a watch factory to help bring manufacturing jobs back to Detroit, the popular Shinola brand will transition into hospitality with the opening of The Shinola Hotel. With new restaurants and retail spaces seemingly popping up every day, the entire block surrounding Shinola is quickly becoming a must-see downtown destination for visitors.

The Townsend Hotel

In the heart of Birmingham and just 20 miles from downtown Detroit, The Townsend Hotel is a frequent host to visiting celebrities. It offers nine penthouses and specialty suites, as well as an award-winning upscale contemporary restaurant, the Rugby Grille.
