For the past year, many of us have been working from home. While we miss being in the office and seeing each other, the Event Client Success team at Cvent has taken this time to try to get to know each other a little better. We thought it was only appropriate to share what we’ve learned about each other with all of you.
Our Event Client Success team is spread out in sixteen different cities across the world. In North America, we have offices in Portland, Oregon; Dallas & Austin, Texas; McLean, Virginia; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Fredericton, New Brunswick. We also have some remote team members in Richmond, Virginia; Weehawken, New Jersey; Charlotte & Raleigh, North Carolina. Across the pond, our team is represented in London, Frankfurt, Dubai, Melbourne, Gurgaon, and Singapore.
As we just passed the one-year mark since Cvent has been working from home due to the pandemic, we shared our favorite quarantine activities with each other. Some of the most popular activities across the team include cooking, knitting, reading, working out, and binging TV shows and movies, specifically Hamilton and the Real Housewives. Some other team members have spent their time at home tackling renovations and gardening.
Now, let’s get personal and talk fun facts. If there is one thing you take away from this post this is it..the Event Client Success team has some interesting fun facts. Let's start with our competitive team members. One was in a dance crew prior to joining us at Cvent, another competitively sailed boats when growing up and someone else has played in blackjack and slot tournaments. Some other fun facts included casual run-ins with Hulk Hogan and Justin Bieber!
Before you finish reading this, our team would like to help inspire your next meal and drink choice by suggesting some of our favorites. Around the world, our favorite dishes include burritos, pasta, burgers, and pizza. If you’re looking for something a little more unique, some of our favorites include crab legs, dumplings, Peking duck, and soft pretzels. Every good meal needs a beverage to complement it, right? Some of our favorites include coffee, margaritas, seltzers, and rosé. If you’re trying to branch out we recommend Trader Joe’s Iced Tea Lemonade, an oreo shake, High Noons, or lychee punch.
While we aren't together in an office, we still make time to get together virtually! Our teammates have come up with some great ideas to host virtual happy hours, murder mystery parties, and even family feud. It's allowed us a unique opportunity to continue to engage and have fun!
