About OneAdvanced

OneAdvanced were founded in 2008 and are a sector-focused SaaS company with 2,300+ employees. They serve a vast range of industries – from education and government to housing and healthcare, OneAdvanced provide solutions that power the world of work for their customers. 

“We have a very busy events programme”, explains Megan Pears, Events Manager at OneAdvanced. “Two of us manage the events business, ranging from virtual events and webinars to in-person events”. This also includes internal events such as their Leadership Summit and incentive trips for employees. With such a varied events programme, it was important for OneAdvanced to have a technology partner that could facilitate this.

We feel really supported by Cvent. We definitely see working with them as a relationship. We feel that the support teams, the customer success teams, account management, really want to work with us, they want us to get the most out of the platform.

Building a relationship with Cvent

Megan described how a deciding factor for choosing Cvent was the broad range of features available on the platform. “We didn’t want contracts with five different companies to do five different event elements. We wanted one platform that could facilitate everything, and Cvent offers that.”

OneAdvanced relies on their virtual events as a key lead generation tactic for prospective customers and utilised Cvent’s Attendee Hub to deliver a broad programme of virtual events. 

Internal events

“We used the Attendee Hub mobile app on our recent incentive trip in Dubrovnik for 180 of our top performers”, Megan shares. With a three-day agenda of activities and an ever-changing weather forecast, there were a lot of last-minute changes to be communicated. OneAdvanced utilised the app to share itineraries and agendas – from gala dinners to flight updates, attendees had one place that would give them all the information and updates they needed.

Modernising with OnArrival

Event managers will know the pain of using an Excel sheet to track attendees. You can easily miss people, check them in incorrectly or make easy human errors – not to mention the lack of reporting at your fingertips. 

OneAdvanced made the upgrade to OnArrival to support their onsite events - “I don’t think we’ll ever not use it,” Megan tells us, “For us, it was brilliant having onsite reporting available whenever you need it”. 

What’s next for OneAdvanced and Cvent?

Megan explains their next pain point that needs tackled is onsite badging. Currently, OneAdvanced uses a local printer and manually picks up the pre-printed badges before each event. Time and money can be saved by using on-demand badge printing. Cvent can help eliminate the onsite pandemonium that comes with hundreds of pre-printed badges to sift through while your attendees queue.

We have a fantastic Customer Success Manager – she puts in monthly meetings with us which we really enjoy. She takes us through new features, discussed our pain points and suggests ways to improve.
