SETCOMMUNICATIONS GmbH is a forward-thinking events management agency in the life sciences industry. They are specialists in experiential marketing and passionate about creating memorable events that connect people and brands, with a commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Cvent sat down with Natascha Nehk, Project Manager and Team Lead, at CONNECT Europe to discuss their alternative approach, “we focus on the experience during the event – we are not only creative but also very data driven by having our own processes in place”, Natascha explains.

The increase of demand for hybrid events

“Our clients have started to realise how easy it is to make face-to-face go virtual and reach a wider audience”, Natascha describes the challenge of finding a partner who could seamlessly blend in-person and virtual. SETCOMMUNICATIONS GmbH were looking for a technology partner that would help them with their goals of streamlining processes, reducing paper waste and maintaining high client satisfaction that could scale as they grow.

“It’s important to understand the purpose of the event”, Natascha explains how in recent years there has been a shift away from virtual, but there is still a demand for them. SET needed a flexible partner to offer hybrid, virtual and in-person solutions.

Putting sustainability and compliance first

“We take ESG very seriously. Small things can make a big impact”, Natascha describes how the team go above and beyond to find sustainable alternatives, even working with a vendor who can create stage carpets from ocean plastic.

Cvent can support this ambition, particularly through minimising the need for paper print-outs via the Attendee Hub. “The Attendee Hub is really helpful, you don’t have to print out personalised agendas for every attendee group, but they have it in their hand at all times”, the team also utilised the Hub to ensure all attendees had key information at all times.

SETCOMMUNICATIONS GmbH also use OnArrival, which digitises the check-in process and reduces the need for further printing.

Looking forward

The team have big ambitions in the quickly evolving pharmaceutical industry, “I’m excited to grow our team and become a leading full-service event solution agency within the industry”, Natascha explains the growth plan and how Cvent is a great partner as we also have a “future orientated” mindset.
