Cvent Drives Sales Efficiency with New Proposal Assistant for Group Business RFPs

New capabilities within Cvent Lead Scoring solution automate previously manual processes

LAS VEGAS & TYSONS CORNER, Va. July 11, 2019 Today, Cvent announced Proposal Assistant – new capabilities within its Lead Scoring solution – that help hoteliers drive more group revenue through smart automation and competitive insights. The new functionality was unveiled at the company’s annual user conference, Cvent CONNECT, in Las Vegas. Proposal Assistant, available later this summer to hotels and venues currently using Cvent Lead Scoring, offers enhanced automation functionality to help streamline the process of responding to requests for proposals (RFPs). Proposal Assistant eliminates much of the manual work needed to respond to an RFP, saving hotel sales teams valuable time and allowing them to direct their efforts towards closing more deals.

“Planners continue to move away from manual RFP processes to online eRFPs, which has led to a significant increase in RFP volume,” said Pete Floros, senior vice president of product management for Cvent Hospitality Cloud. “Hotel chains using our existing Lead Scoring solution are finding it much easier to quickly qualify and prioritize leads, but are still spending too much time filling out dates, rates, and meeting space information in their RFP responses. Proposal Assistant takes care of all of that. In many cases, the hotels that are the quickest to respond are the ones that close the deal. Proposal Assistant is going to allow hotels to compete for that first response and grow their group business.”

Benefits of Proposal Assistant include:

  • Smart automation: Proposal Assistant uses the most current data from the hotel’s or venue’s Sales and Catering system to automatically populate the dates, rates, and meeting space that best fit the group’s unique needs and the property’s current business pipeline.
  • Decreased response time: Hospitality sales professionals consistently say responding to RFPs is a very manual and time-consuming task. Proposal Assistant removes the manual process of filling in RFP responses and proposals to help decrease response time and deliver a more complete response to event professionals.
  • Drive more group revenue: Through Cvent’s Lead Scoring solution, sales teams are better equipped to qualify leads and prioritize their time. Proposal Assistant enhances the Lead Scoring solution by automating the most manual tasks – allowing sales teams to respond to more leads faster than ever before. More responses mean additional opportunities to close more business.
  • Competitive insights: Proposal Assistant also utilizes Cvent's Competitive Set Dashboard, which enables more confident, data-driven business decisions. With these unique competitive insights, Proposal Assistant will start with the average rate quoted by a property's competitors. Users can then adjust the rate and see the lead scoring effects in real time. These deep insights will give hoteliers the data they need to put together smarter, more effective proposals.

Proposal Assistant will be available to all Cvent Hospitality Cloud customers using its Lead Scoring solution in August 2019.
