Marriott Integrates Internal Inventory System Exclusively with the Cvent Supplier Network™

Integration Will Enable Marriott to Provide Faster, More Comprehensive Responses to Meeting and Event Planner Request for Proposals

NEW YORK and MCLEAN, VA – Cvent, the world's largest cloud-based software provider of meeting and event management, venue selection and web survey solutions, today announced an expanded partnership with Marriott International (NYSE: MAR) to integrate the Cvent Supplier Network (CSN) with Marriott's proprietary consolidated inventory system. The Cvent Supplier Network is the world's largest online marketplace that connects meeting and event planners with hotels and other special event venues.

This integration will streamline the Request for Proposal (RFP) process between meeting and event planners that send RFPs on Cvent's Supplier Network and Marriott's sales team, allowing Marriott to manage group business leads more efficiently, eliminate manual processes and provide planners with more thorough, timely responses to their RFPs.

"We're always looking for ways to improve meeting and event planners' experience with Marriott, and this industry-leading integration with Cvent will allow us to do just that," said Neal Jones, Vice President, Global Sales – Intermediaries at Marriott.

Geoff Heuchling, Marriott's Senior Director of B2B eCommerce, added, "The integration effort to date has truly been a joint collaboration. The Cvent Supplier Network is already our top source for highly qualified group business leads, and we look forward to receiving even more RFPs as the system continues to grow."

Launched in 2008, the Cvent Supplier Network allows planners to search detailed profiles of more than 150,000 venues worldwide—over 3,500 of which are Marriott properties across 12 brands. Planners can then send electronic RFPs with their meeting requirements and compare venue proposals with side-by-side reports. Marriott's consolidated inventory system will be integrated exclusively with the CSN, so leads sent by planners through the network will seamlessly route to the Marriott sales team.

"Marriott is known for leading innovation and has been a critical partner to us in the development of the Cvent Supplier Network from the start. We're happy to be working hand-in-hand with them to bring to market a fully integrated solution," said Chuck Ghoorah, Cvent's Co-Founder and Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing. "More than 50,000 meeting and event planners around the world use the Cvent Supplier Network to find venues. As our user base and group business RFP volume continues to grow, this integration will help Marriott better manage the influx of group business leads they receive through the system."

Marriott International's hotels offer space for virtually any type of meeting, from small gatherings of five people to conventions of thousands. Meeting planners can earn Marriott Rewards points for a variety of meeting expenses such as room blocks, meeting room rental, audiovisual, and food & beverage.
