Supporting a range of clients with years of Cvent experience

BW Events Tech are a group of event technology consultants with years of experience with Cvent. They support a range of clients, including in the finance, automotive and healthcare sectors from across the globe with projects like event app implementation, non-native integrations, or even simply an extra pair of hands at a demanding event. “Cvent is a great platform,” explains Victoria Rasmussen, Marketing Director at BW Events Tech. “Lots of people use it, it has a lot of great features, and we love working with them and providing an extra white glove touch for our clients to make the most of it.”

Working backwards to implement comprehensive registration

One area in which BW Events Tech support clients is with Cvent’s Registration platform. “With registration, you have to begin with the end in mind,” shares Victoria. “You have to really think about what you want your final badge to look like. Because the Cvent platform is so interconnected, with so many native components working together, it offers that ability to work backwards and understand how these systems connect.” For instance, the team often advise clients on using visibility logic with registration types, such as using a different coloured badge banner for differing types of attendees.

Changing approaches to in-person content

Cvent’s Attendee Hub functions as both an event app and a standalone virtual and hybrid platform for live streaming, on-demand content and more. “We see clients take various approaches to using the Attendee Hub,” Victoria continues. “There’s definitely a trend towards hosting onsite content via the app, but we also see a lot of staggered and on-demand content even with the big return to in-person. We’re seeing a lot of planners not necessarily releasing all of their content at the same time as the event – a shift away from a period when in-person and virtual elements of the same event were generally hosted simultaneously.”

Welcoming the resurgence of in-person events

Like many others, BW Events Tech have seen a huge resurgence of in-person events. In the same breath, they’re seeing clients take a strong interest in welcoming in-person attendees smoothly. “We love using OnArrival,” explains Victoria. “It’s very smooth to use, and brilliant to be able to provide that quick, immediate reporting on live attendance and conversion to major stakeholders – as well as how it dovetails so neatly with the registration process and native printer system when it comes to badge printing.”

They’ve also noticed the rising priorities of accessibility and sustainability when it comes to in-person event planning. “There’s a lot more interest than there was pre-pandemic in where people are coming from and the environmental impact of that travel when it comes to deciding locations for in-person events.”
