The meetings & events industry has seen a quick pivot to virtual events, and your event website and registration process are more valuable components than ever! No matter how you may be leveraging New Standard Registration (Flex) events when going virtual, there are multiple reasons why you’ll want to make sure you’re launching in Flex over Classic.

Going the No Integration Route

Even if you’ve chosen to not implement any integrations with virtual event providers, Flex offers greater functionality when executing your event. Take advantage of seamlessly entering your virtual event details (a Flex-only feature), such as meeting ID, URL to join, password, and link to any recordings. You’re then able to use the virtual event data tags to add this info to emails and post-reg pages, keeping communication to your attendees a breeze. You’re also able to leverage other Flex features for your virtual event, such as streaming live video with the Video widget (and add the Countdown Timer widget to create more excitement!), creating a custom FAQ page to add details about your virtual event, or even leveraging session emails for specific virtual session communication.

Going the Integration Route

You may rely on a robust tech stack to manage your business and your virtual events – and you need all your applications working together in harmony. Luckily, Cvent has a fairly open platform that allows you to integrate with providers your organization may already be using. This may range from an out-of-the-box integration, where we’ve pre-configured workflows and you just have to plug in your details to get started, or even a custom integration, where you work with our Sales Engineering team to build out unique workflows between your systems. We integrate with providers such as Zoom, WebEx, GoToWebinar, GlobalMeet, Intrado, On24, Adobe Connect, and more.

Reach out to your Account Manager or check out the Cvent Developer Hub if you have any additional integration questions.

Going the Cvent Virtual Attendee HubTM Route

If you haven’t already heard, there's a new end-to-end solution to choose when going virtual (and it’s a Cvent product) – Cvent Virtual Attendee Hub! This new member of the Event Marketing and Management Platform completes our story of providing solutions that reliably and securely plan, promote, and drive engagement for your virtual and hybrid events. You’ll have the ability to deliver live or pre-recorded video to support your virtual events and drive engagement with features like Q&A, networking, and scheduling.

It’s important to note that you will ONLY be able to use the Cvent Virtual Attendee Hub with your Flex events, so yet another compelling reason to discontinue your use of Classic registration!
