Cvent’s New Standard Registration process (Flex) gives event planners a new way to build, design, and manage their event management websites and registration process. It reimagines website creation and makes the process more enjoyable for planners. The technology reduces the time to launch events, so planners can focus on other projects to increase event ROI.

Accenture a First Mover

One of the first Cvent clients to transition from building event websites in Standard Event Registration to New Standard Event Registration is Accenture, a global management consulting and professional services firm.  The firm has clients in more than 200 cities and 120 countries, serving almost 90% of the Fortune Global 100 and more than 75% of the Fortune Global 500. Joanna Chapin, a meeting technology consultant at Accenture, was reluctant to make the transition. She liked Standard Event Registration, but after using Flex registration technology, she acknowledges there’s no turning back and that Flex is the future.

Event Website Benefits

Most members of Accenture’s event planning team, regardless of their background in web design or technology expertise, find the New Standard Event Registration easy to use. The functionality, ease-of-use, and value of Flex is felt beyond the planning team. Flex gives planners and organizers the ability to display all event information on one page, which some Accenture clients desire. It also gives the flexibility to add multiple pages for context, descriptions, and directions in a streamlined way to avoid an endless, confusing scroll of information.

Global Application

Accenture runs more than 150 events annually in North America and the company is almost fully transitioned to New Standard Event Registration for these events. The firm also manages numerous events globally and Chapin reports that every country where Accenture operates is currently using Flex.

Future Plans

Cvent continues to refine the New Standard Event Registration based on customer feedback. Chapin says that as Accenture’s events business continues to evolve, it will expand its events relationship with Cvent. For more information on Accenture’s use of Flex technology, please visit here.
