The rooms also have enough plugs and USB ports to charge up to 14 devices. They are designed to provide a flexible space which allows for a smooth transition between work and rest.
The Plaza Workspace and signature bar
The Plaza Workspace is situated in the open-plan ground floor of the hotel and is home to the signature bar “The Plaza”, which also doubles up as multi-functional and practical co-working space.
Thanks to the central glass atrium, this space is flooded with light in the day and features a contemporary new design. All workspaces come with built-in plug sockets and USB ports as well as access to free high-speed Wi-Fi. The bar is open all day and serves a range of dishes from healthy light lunches, to sushi and steak.
They also have a selection of healthy snacks and sweet treats available to take away, as well as take-away coffee cups and a large tea selection. The bar also provides a relaxing ambience to unwind over a glass of wine or a cocktail in the evening, allowing the working day to flow seamlessly into the evening.
The Crowne Plaza Hamburg offers 9 fully renovated meeting rooms, the largest of which can cater for up to 200 people. Two of these rooms – The Studio and The Forum – have been designed with contemporary, relaxed business practises in mind and can be used during the day as co-working spaces or booked for private events in the evening.
The Studio offers all you would need for a small meeting or event within its four walls, with a classic work-table set-up, as well as sofa and armchair seating, two screens and a stocked fridge. The Forum also has a feature dual-function billiards table and a unique Spanish-steps style seating layout.
All meeting rooms come with high-speed Wi-Fi, projectors and ClickShare compatibility, and the rooms on the ground floor feature a whiteboard wall.
The hotel is located in the popular area of St Georg/Hohenfelde, at the top of the Lange Reihe, a busy street with shops, restaurants and bars. Alster lake with it’s 7.5km jogging path and scenic parks and cafes, is a short walk away.
In summer, the lake is a hot-spot for sailing, rowing and paddle boarding with many boat rental companies dotted around. Boat trips also run all-year-round further down the lake. The location is peaceful and scenic, however still only a short trip to the centre.
The hotel also benefits from convenient public transport links, being a short three-stop bus ride from the central station, or a 20-minute journey from the airport by taxi. Hamburg train station is one of the busiest in Europe and offers many high-speed rail links.
