As hotels across the world start to reopen, meeting planners and sourcing managers are searching for venues that meet unprecedented requirements. Hotels need to suit a new evolved type of event, as well as distinguish what makes them unique within this “new normal” for transient business.

One such hotel is the New York Palace Budapest, located within the heart of the fascinating capital of Hungary. Having recently celebrated its 125th birthday, the New York Palace is widely recognised as one of the most symbolic buildings in downtown Budapest and features “The Most Beautiful Café in the World” as well as a vibrant courtyard to escape the busyness of life outside the hotel walls.

Event and meeting spaces

Designed by the interior architect Iosa Ghini, the New York Palace’s modern conference centre has a separate entrance, with capacity for up to 650 guests in its main conference facility. Located on an upper floor are two additional breakout rooms allowing for a further 40 guests per room. Secondarily, with direct access from the hotel, the palace features a secondary conference area with space for 225 guests.

For evening receptions and cocktail parties, the elegant and modern Rossini room can host 160 guests in ideal surroundings, alongside a VIP lounge perfect for either private dining or press conferences.

The centrepiece of the meeting space at the hotel is the 440 sqm “Rome Room”, situated on the first floor. Featuring specially designed wooden, marble and textile surfaces, the suite provides the perfect exclusive atmosphere.

All conference facilities are equipped with the latest technologies, including screens, projectors, and state-of-the-art sound systems.

Health and safety

The Dedica Anthology hotel group has implemented Health & Safety Protocols and reviewed the entire customer experience, from the moment before arrival right up to the moment of departure, adapting it accordingly to reinforce the cleanliness and sanitisation controls throughout all areas of the hotel. The hotel emphasises the individual and collective responsibility of the brand and its team members.

All common spaces, including lobbies, restaurants and bars and terraces are prepared in compliance with the regulated safety distances: we have rearranged the furniture so that our guests can be socially distanced at all times.

To allow guests to take advantage of the catering services (breakfast, lunch, dinner), the room service offering is extended to all guests at no additional cost. Guests can order directly from the room using digital menus, and late check out is available at no additional cost to allow a calm departure. The organisation of small meetings and events is facilitated by flexible and customisable solutions in compliance with current regulations.

Budapest welcomes you!

Budapest — with the majestic Danube in the middle. Buda, with its historic architecture on one side, and Pest, a dynamic cultural center on the other. The Hungarian capital is rightfully described as a city with a living history. As a spa city, Budapest is more than the sum of its bathing facilities, as it offers a unique blend of Roman, Turkish and European culture – a coexistence of the spiritual heritage of East and West.

The city has one of the most comprehensive public transport systems among the capitals of Europe, supporting 268 bus, 32 tram, 15 trolleybus, and 4 underground lines, as well as boat and chairlift services. The bus routes, in particular, offer a 97% full or partial wheelchair-accessible service.

Today, Budapest is a metropolis of approximately two million people, and is waiting to be discovered. It is an exciting medley, just like the cultural activities that the city offers.
