With over 4,000 attendees, Cvent CONNECT 2018 was our biggest yet! The conference focused on the importance of The Power of Live, or the power of meeting in-person. It continues to be unmatched by any other sales and marketing tactic. The conference had some updates about how we’re improving our platform to power and support all of your events, no matter the size or complexity--as well as key industry trends, training camps, and more. Here’s a quick look at our top 5 takeaways.

Cvent is simplifying the user experience making planning events easier than ever

It’s all about making products as easy to use as possible. This is incredibly evident in Project Flex, which simplifies the website creation experience in terms of build, design, registration management, and experience. Reggie Aggarwal, Founder & CEO of Cvent had a few thoughts about Project Flex. He said “Basically it is the next generation of event management. It is Registration, and the entire user experience reimagined. Flex is the single largest technology investment, in Cvent’s history. So now, the quality of the user experience will match the quality, and depth, of our functionality.” Register for the Project FLEX Webinar to find out more!

The Power of Live is about maximizing the value of the onsite experience

In today’s busy world, it can feel like technology has taken over. But really, the value of face-to-face interactions is greater than ever. In fact, it’s one of the most effective sales and marketing tactics out there. The Power of Live Events happens when you combine modern event technology and in-person experiences to promote and engage attendees. After all, we do business with people we know. When we use real-time data from attendees, we can make our events even more impactful. Are you harnessing the full power of your live events? Find out!

Prove your business impact

You invest time and money into any event you create. That’s why each event you plan has to deliver value to you, your organization, your attendees, and your clients. In order to understand how successful your event was, we’re investing in building feedback paths and integrations that let you improve and prove the impact of your events. This will help you not only measure your event ROI but create it. When it comes to proving the impact of your events, you have to capture the right data, have it all in one place, and activate it. The Salesforce App integrations and the Integrations Hub makes it easier than ever. Find out what should be tracked to prove the value of your events.

We’re in the 4th Industrial Revolution

Which will usher in a new set of technologies that will alter the way we work and connect with one another. Technologies like quantum computing, artificial intelligence, the internet of things, biometrics and facial recognition, robotics & machine learning are just a few of the technologies that hold great promise for making our lives better and our organizations more efficient. Several Cvent customers like Michelin, Continental, Samsung, Amazon, and more are leading this wave in adopting the technologies of the 4th Industrial Revolution. Read more.

Data safety and security has never been more important

GDPR regulation went into effect on May 25, 2018. We have a responsibility to our customers to keep their data safe. For us, GDPR is all about trust and transparency. It’s a chance to run the absolute best events we can. When it comes to data, you need to understand consent and the right to access and to be forgotten. Want to know more about GDPR? Check out our GDPR FAQs or our GDPR Guide to Best Practice Event Planning.

If you missed any sessions, breakouts, or keynotes, check out the Cvent CONNECT website for more information.
